    Reasonable wrist dive computer

My husband and I are looking to purchase our first wrist dive computer. We're fairly new divers, and have no need for a compicated computer at this time. So far, we've been looking at the Mares Puck, Mares Nemo and Sherwood Insight. Does anyone have any opinions about these wrist computers or suggestions for other reasonable alternatives?

    Hi Anita:

I am not sure what you mean by not wanting a complicated computer. The most expensive are probably the easiest to use, and you are going to want similar information from whatever model you chose. You may not, for example, want to make deco dives, but you are going to want a computer with this capability in the event you wind up in a deco situation.

I have used a number of different brands, and for my money Uwatec products have been the most reliable. The SmartTrak software is also among the best. As a photographer, the air integrated models are great. My present model os a Galileo Sol, and it is fantastic. Pricey, by fantastic.

    Good Luck,

    Dan

Before you buy a computer, Seriously consider wether you will be diving nitrox in the future so you don't end up spending more $$ on another computer.

That being said, I love the Aeris XR2 computer. I'ts very user friendly and easy to read.
Take a look at it. Good luck!

I have the Aeris XR1-NX. I really like it a lot, except for my one complaint - which is that is has no backlight.

In general though my aeris computer experience has been a good one and I would certainly consider buying another one of their products in the future. If people on here are recommending the XR2, I see no reason to object.

I like my Viper Air with AI. Great computer but not cheap.
    Just going with the flow...
