Trouble Inserting My 2 Inch OMS SPG into its Plastic Boot

I recently bought an OMS G-240-SM 2 - inch PSI Submersible Pressure Gauge OMS Submersible Pressure Gauges (SPG's) http://www.omsdive.com As you can see, it came with a 32" HP hose and a plastic "boot." I know the DIR-ers on this forum hate them, but I'd like to insert the SPG and hose into the boot. The problem is the hose!!! Both sides of the HP hose are too wide to make it through the opening in the bottom of the boot, and for that matter, the SPG, itself, seems too big. Am i missing something here

Try dropping the boot in some hot water for a couple of minutes. It will make it more flexible and easier to "wiggle" stuff through it.

    Be careful handling it.
