I was wondering if anyone has used this dive watch, it's features are
    FEATURES ARE: TEMPERATURE
    MEASUREMENT, DEPTH
    MEASUREMENT,DIVE TIME,20 LOG
    DATA MEMORY FILIES(DIVE
    DATE,START & END TIMES,TOTAL DIVE
    TIME, MAX DEPTH,AVG DEPTH,MAX
    DEPTH TEMP) ALARM BACKLIGHT
    12/24-HR FORMATS
It also says it is water resistant to 200meters. I am looking at this as a backup for my Oceanic Data Plus 2 and I don't want to spend to much money on a new computer or an extremely fancy watch. I've always had good luck with Casio watches but the underwater world is a totally differant story and I want to be sure it will work. If anyone has had one of these watches can you please tell me of the pros and cons. The price is $120.00 is this a good price. A speedy response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sorry but I don't. I know that for a short time Wal-Mart carried them but they told me they discontinued that line.

I'm not sure I know exactly the model you are talking about, but i know others-

Casio's diving computers are not to good. Same goes for the watches of the type you mentioned, the depth gauge tends to get busted, and in general- reall computers are better.

another thing I'd have to mention, is that I dont really see any reason to have a secondery computer. Having just a watch is more than enough. The chances of a computer going down in a dive are really low, and unless you are in a decompression dive (for which the spoken casio watch won't be a lot of help) there's nothing to worry about, end the dive and wait a day before diving, or calculate you latest dive according to a dive-table. The worst that happens is that you'd miss a dive or two, and the chances of this to happen are VERY low.

HAD a Casio DEP 510. HAVE a Citizens HyperAqualand. I sent the Casio to the Calif. repair facility to have the battery replaced and it disappeared. I couldn't even get the company to answer emails or letters. I got a Citizens instead and it is a far superior watch.

Thanks for all the replies and saving me from a bad purchase. Do you have any suggestions for a low cost watch with a depth gauge. It is not only going to be a backup but I would also like to know the depth when I am free diving. I know I can get just plain a depth gauge but I would like to have it as a second timer as well. I know the equipment made now is of high quality but I am paranoid especially when it comes to electronics.
    Thanks

    Hi Sig

What is low cost? I got my Hyperaqualand in St. Thomas for $220. I have seen them on-line for $250. - $300? It has a depth meter and lots of other things. Mine will track depth and cumulative time below 3ft while I'm freediving. Anyone else?

    Hi luvdiving

I would probably consider anything over $150.00 to much. I think if I'm going to spend that much then I will go ahead and just buy another computer and get a wrist mount for it.

Diveinn also has the the UWATEC bottom timer (with temp, depth, and other displays) for $72 plus shipping....

Look on their site under "loose instruments"

Perhaps this might work. About the onlything it won't do is normal watch features.
