    NiTek Q

Who's using it, what do you think? Seems like a good deal for an advanced nitrox computer.

Great Question...I've been wondering the same thing. Looking forward to the responses. I suppose my biggest concern is that it says it is a two gas nitrox computer...meaning 32% or 36% Nitrox? I'm guessing. My Aeris is programmable to any nitrox % from 32-40.

Anyway...I'm glad you asked this question scubadada....there is not much in feedback or reviews on the Nitek Q

The Users Manual is downloadable off the Dive Rite website. In the basic configuration, both gas mixes are programmable for 21-99% O2 with PO2 of 1.4 or 1.6.

Anybody have experience with it yet?

    Good diving, Craig

Thank You...now thats something I didnt know. I'm repeating what I read of a post on another forum; my mistake. It didnt make any sense to me why it would be like that and I'm so glad to hear it isnt so. I'll take a look at the users manual.

Would like to see some posts from users experiences though.

I'll get out of your thread now.

    banjo,

Best thing about ScubaBoard is that we all learn things every day. I have found that I get very useful answers to my questions.

Now, who has experience with the NiTek Q?

    Best, Craig

I don't think I'd spend $900 on a 2 (okay 3) gas recreational Nitrox computer. For that you could get the loaded Q and have yourself a 7 gas EAN/Trimix computer...The only advantage I see is that it's air integrated - and that's only if you consider it an advantage...

The Q has gotten good reviews on CDF. The advantage of the X1 I think is with CCR and vplanner integration. I just order the fully loaded Q on Friday. Looking forward to getting my hands on it. I have another Nitek and have always loved it.

No I don't have either one. The Niteq Q is fairly new and a niche product so I'm not surprised no one with experience posts.
