I just got this comp. recently and I am a bit confused as to the Dive time remaining and related icons (no deco, air time remaining). When I was diving last week, both icons appeared at the same time, even though I knew I would run out of air before going into no deco. status. Is both icons appearing at the same time normal for this comp. or do I have a defect?

I have used a Aeris 750 and dive time remaining would be followed by either no deco. or air time icon (tank) whichever is the limiting factor.

Here's how I think it works. The no-deco/deco icon indicates whether you're in no-deco or deco mode at all times. It's not related to the dive time remaining indicator at all. You can see this in the manual. No decompression mode is documented on pages 51-53, and decompression mode from 54-61.

The dive time remaining lists the calculated time remaining in the dive. If your dive time is limited by the air you have remaining, the tank icon will light. If it's limited by nitrogen accumulation, the tank icon will not be illuminated. (I don't dive nitrox yet, so I don't know what icon it would lite if you were oxygen accumulation limited.)

That's how I understand it works, and that matches with my experiences with dive times limited both by nitrogen accumulation and air time. Both icons appearing simultaneously would be normal if you were doing a no-decompression dive that was air time limited. However, if you want to be sure, call Oceanic and ask. Their # is 510-562-0500.

BTW, what is the serial # on your computer? I'm curious how well they're selling. I have one that's around 1500, I think.

Sorry, about the delay in response, was away. But if your still interested the serial number is 2004 I believe, unless that is the year of manufacture, lol.
