Looking into a new dive computer.

What are the quick differences between the below.

Suunto:
Viper
Stinger
Mosquito
Cobra

Want a wrist mount. Nitrox capable.

Thanks

They all do Nitrox. Stinger and Mosquito are watch-style. Vyper can be either wrist or console, has bigger screen than the watch styles which should be easier to read. Cobra is air-integrated, if you want air-integrated wrist mount you would have to look at the Vytek which has the remote transmitter as an option.

On suunto.com you can pick all the computers and get a comparison chart.

Basically the only differences between the Gekko and Vyper... The Vyper can be downloaded to a computer...and the Vyper has an interal light while the Gekko has torch charging "glow in the dark" screen that doesn't work very well (in my opinion). The Vyper also has a simulation mode where you can "fast-time" simulate a dive on the surface to see how the computer reacts to certain events..such as safety stops and accidently going past the non-decompression limit. It's helpful when getting used to the computer.

The Cobra is the Vyper with air integration (digital pressure). It's neat because it can easily calculate air consumption and when you download the info to the computer you have a full dive profile showing air pressure at every depth along the way.

On Suuntos website, you can download an interactive program of each computer that shows a diver dive down and then shows how the computer changes and reacts to his dive. It will give you a good idea of the difference between each computer.
