i got a brand new dive rite spg and i noticed when shaken it has a "springy" rattle to it. i havent had a chance to test it out on a tank but i was wonder if this is normal?

For the plastic ones, oh yes. Its normal.

They go Booooiiiinnnnggggg. It will work fine, I'm sure. They're just lighter and, well, more springy than their B&G counterparts.

Claudette had one when we first started diving. I could hear sproingy bouncing off the rocks with a resounding slinky sound on our shore dives. :D

The Brass & Glass ones don't make a sound.

Our dives are much quieter since she went to B&G.

OK - so maybe I'm stretching it... but she sure hated that sound.
