Diving The New Shearwater Predator

The new Predator is a dream underwater, the new OLED display is larger, very bright, extremely easy to read and with the 3 color display, will convey important information quickly to the user. The OLED display will automatically adjust it's intensity based on the light needed to easily see the display whether you are on the surface or in a cave.

Because of the high efficiency of this computer, the battery life is even longer than that of the Pursuit, about 150 hrs of dive time and 1 yr standby.

Both Mel from Silent Scuba, LLC and Paul from rEvo will be diving the new Predator in Florida cave country this week. If you want to take a look, I am sure they will be willing to have a show and tell.

Mel is in Florida Cave Country teaching a CCR Cave Class and there are 2 Predators in use.

Mel told me today that she can see the Predator 15 ft away in the cave and because of the 3 color screen (Green, Yellow, Red) she can tell if the person diving the Predator is keeping everything where it should be. Green all is normal, The Yellow, indicating "Caution" and Red, indicating " Need Action" are very easy to see.

She also said that even in the very bright Florida sunlight and on the surface the Predator is very easy to see.
