Looking for a dongle. Upgraded my PC (operating Windows 7), and my old dongle (IR reader) won't upload my dive computer data. Dive computer - UWATEC Pro COM. Old dongle - MA-660. Sure, the dive shops have the new one (778) for $100, but for crying out loud, it's just an IR reader and a driver. :( Any ideas?

I bought one off of newegg.com $26.00 and it works fine. StarTech USB2IR2 USB to Infrared/IrDA SIR/FIR Adapter .You have to slow the transfer speed down in the settings to get it to connect right.

Bought on on Amazon for 12, plugged it in and Windows 7 automatically loaded drivers. Worked great but you have to hold the computer in direct line of sight and pretty darn close to dongle

I found one online for 8 bucks when I had my SmartTEC. It worked great and certainly beat spending $100. Radio Shack may have something (if they still exist that is...)
