Hi folks!

Understand that Suunto has released this item already in Europe and the UStates. Here in the Far East we're still anticipating it :)

I wonder if anyone has purchased this and is presumably already diving happily with it?

If so would you mind sharing your experience with this computer?
Feature-wise it seems to have exactly what a budgent-user might want and more....

Thanks and cheery bubbles!

My understanding is that it is a Vyper in functionality EXCEPT:

1. You cannot download dives to your computer. No electronic logbook, in other words. This, for me, would make it a non-starter.

2. It can have its nitrogen memory cleared. Something you NEVER want to do as an individual owner, but EXTREMELY useful to a dive shop that rents computers.

3. I've heard that it cannot do gauge mode.

I'd buy the Vyper, because the downloading is important to me, and gauge mode is essential if you ever progress into diving beyond recreational (e.g. deco, etc.)
