Hi Everybody,

I am looking for some help. I have a Suunto Gekko that is currently in a console, but I would like to change to a wrist mount. The console is too cumbersome for me. Anways, I have a couple of questions. Being that I am mechanically challenged, is this difficult procedure for me to accomplish by myself or do I need a professional. Also, I live in a rural place, and there is only one LDS in the area. My last question is if I can do this myself which wrist strap do I purchase, and where can I purchase from other than my LDS.

Thanks,

Pam

It's very easy to do. After undoing the screws, it comes right out of the console.

After attatching the straps, it pops into the wrist boot very easily.

Marc,

Thanks for the info. Any good ideas on what type of strap and where to purchase them?

Thanks again,

Pam

I got a real Suunto boot and strap from Dixie Divers, a LDS here in Florida. It was less than $30 for both.

Here's another choice.http://www.deepseasupply.com/page18.html

The Suunto Vyper, Vytec and Gekko are all the same shape, and all fit in our mount.
