Large unit with small display. Does air and nitrox only. For multiple nitrox mixes I would take a suunto vytec over a nitek.

Sounds like you bent it. Wait 24hrs and it should clear.

How good is the Dive Rite NiTek computer.

The NiTek display being charachterized as 'small' is IMO only relative to the 'brick' size case (NiTek1/NiTek3/NiTekHe); my 40+ year old, prescription needed except to drive in Ohio eyes find it quite adequate on my Nitek3, and the same size display is used on all the 'brick' style Nitek units, as well as the 'not so thick brick' NiTek. The same 'not so thick brick' unit was also sold with a OMS label at one point.

Here's some info from the UK diving magazine that you might find helpful. I think the UK reviewers pull fewer punches than the RSD reviewers, but that's just my opinion.

However, there are other dive computers using the same or extremely similar algorithms - the Nitek Duo, TUSA IQ-700, and Apeks Quantum are pretty much clones except for label and price and warranty (and in the NiTek Duo case, PC interface software) as far as I can tell, and the Nitek Plus and Apeks Pulse similar comments. Maybe the Cressi Sub Archimede and Archimede 2 as well, I'm not sure, Cressi Sub isn't a big brand in my area.

Now, I wonder about all the other cars on the road with folks more vision-challenged than me behind the wheel - sheesh, the Ohio BMV maybe should give a complimentary white cane with every license issued.

Texas required me to have vision correction to drive for 10 years before I moved from there.
