"Service from Houston to Cancun and Cozumel, Mexico will resume November 5th. Service from Newark to Cancun is suspended until December 15th."

I checked with them yesterday morning and they insisted that my non-stop from Newark to Cancun on Dec 9th was going as scheduled. Since I have to connect now, I hope they'll let me fly into Coz without charging more miles.

We received a call from CO about Nov. 26 from Houston - they changed our departure time but seem confident that they'll have the numbers to fly.

If the flights not going, you should get a call about 24 hours out to let you know the sked change from EWR.

I'm infering that you used miles for your ticket, and, you already have an open jaw or stopover. Changing a leg from a nonstop, to a connection, would have no impact on your ticket; especially since they are making the change.

Besides, the President's Club in the new IAH terminal is way nice. Enjoy the trip!

All the best, James

When I called they told my that I probably would have gotten notification in a week or so. Nice. We are going to Coz and Akumal this trip so we originally had the non-stop in and out of Cancun. Since we have to connect now, I wanted to fly to Coz and leave our return from Cancun. They rebooked that no problems, but an hr later those flights also were no longer operating. Now we're flying to Houston in the evening and then getting the morning flight to Coz. Yup, it was miles. And I used Hilton points for a hotel in Houston, so at least the crappy travel isn't costing us anything. And yes, I'll make sure I've got my President's Club card with me too.
