Anybody know of any good websites with aerial views of Cozumel? Googlemaps doesn't get in very close, and a general search didn't turn up much. I just need some material to get me more excited before I'm there in November.

Who you diving with in November? I'll be down there from Nov 5 - 16 and plan on diving with Aldora Divers.

I'll be diving with Dive With Martin...be down there with the Scubadillo dive club from the 3rd - 6th. Sounds like you have a nice little vacation planned.

Fin59 - thanks for that link, I never knew of that site.

Tried Google Earth? http://earth.google.com/

You can "fly" over Coz at about 200' and clearly see the boats, the reef in front of the hotels etc.

Yeah, I've been on a boat with Orlando. The club has used DWM for the annual trips at least the last few years and we've always had an awesome time.

Well google earth was great for the norther half of the island, excellent detail. Unfortunately, it went limp on the southern half, which is where the Allegro is and most likely where we'll be doing most of our diving.

When we were leaving Cozumel last January, the plane took off toward the mainland, but immediately took a left and flew all the way around the southern 2/3 of the island at fairly low altitude. It came back across right along Benito Juarez (the road from town to Mescalito's), flew directly over the airport again, and then climbed up and out toward Playa del Carmen. I never found out what that was about, but I got some pretty cool video out the window of the plane.
