Dive operator near Occidental Grans Cozumel

We have now moved resorts from Playa Del Carmen to Cozumel due to construction work at Gran Porto Real

Can anybody recommend a good dive operator on Cozumel near the Occidental please.

Also is it still practical to dive the Cenote caves as part of a 5day 10 dive package from Cozumel?

Does anybody know if this resort is on the Atlantic side or Mexican side of the Island as the guy at the local dive shop in the UK told me that the best diving is on the southside of the island south of where the cruise liners dock.

The resort is located on the southwest side of the island. Many of the best dive sites in Cozumel are only a short ride from their dock. The in-house dive operator is Dive Palancar. They are a good operation but restrict bottom times a bit to maintain their 4 single tank dive schedule each day. While there are no independent operators in that area, almost any dive operator will pick you up at the hotel dock. My wife and I will staying there in December, diving mornings with Blue XT (I highly recommend) and will do some afternoon and night dives with Dive Palancar. A trip to the mainland cenotes is not normally included in any standard packages but is available with some of the operations, including BlueXT.
