CozumelWorld Class Marine Park drift diving, renown cuisine and great hospitality. The island with a Mexican heart and a Caribbean soul! You’ve seen the Corona commercials, come experience the reality.
Hmmmm, actually it looks to be making the eel fairly aggressive toward the divers.
Maybe he'll get his thumb removed like the guy did in that other eel feeding video.
Or maybe the eel will just be expecting snacks from everyone and get mad when
he gets stiffed.
Awesome
People can be quite stupid. Not only are they harrasing the eel, but they are feeding it. The next time the eel sees divers, it is going to come out to be feed. Mmm don't those little fingers look yummy......
And these people are crawling all over the coral (as they fight the current) so they can watch the show.
Yet another reason to dive with respected dive operations.
I am in awe of the stupid human tricks people continue to exhibit. With all the time we invest to become educated, certified divers, you'd think people would apply common sense. I guess you have to have common sense to apply it, though. Goodness!
Well, there's an accident lookin for a place to happen. Looks like there is a "Discover Diving" diver along for the ride who will think this is normal behaviour.

Well, I certainly hope someone loses their job over that display of ignorance. I am no expert, but what I saw there certainly did not look to be at all safe, and living in colorado I know the dangers of teaching animals that humans are there to provide them with food. The person injured by that eel could well be the next group that comes along. I am sure the responsible party will get what they deserve...go get 'em Christi!!
I have seen my share of "dive guides" that try to actively interact with subaquatic life, trying to feed, touch, to impress new divers and make a buck.....i have a special part of my briefing,"take only pictures, kill only time, feed your eyes only, and leave only bubbles" there is no touching and the interaction will only be pasive (watching, looking, observing) even so i have heard of guides pushed by divers or their own stupidity to make a puffer fish blow, to pick up a rock or scorpion fish etc.
If this person is found, the certification agencies, diveboards, marine park and even local newspapers should know about it, i make a living of diving, and to my standards this guy should be never allowed to dive again. And an asskicking....
