I guess if you are feeling poorly, dehydrated, not rested, it can make you feel a lot better to get IV fluids pushed into your system. Especially for the plane trip back home.
I wonder if they planned to delay their departure if necessary until she was no longer contagious.
The price went from $516 to $413, so I took that one as the time worked much better for me than the $363 price. Got to thinking about blackjack and decided this time ...well... it's done.
So flying out, (Continental) at 1230 Saturday morning, Oct 24 from LAX---houston---then arrive COZ at 1119. Hoping to get gear checked out and practice with a shore dive, then relax. Depart Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 1220. Hope I meet some people from Houston to COZ flight staying at BA.
Now, I need to get familiar with some restaurants for dinners. All the rooms look good at the BA, but was wondering if any are better than others. Generally I like to stay up high as opposed to the ground floor.
I stayed in 206 for several nights and then they moved me to 204. I liked 206 better. It had a king size bed instead of two doubles. And the bathroom layout was just slightly different. If I had my choice I would be on the bottom floor. They have lanais that lead out to the grassy area and they have their own personal full size lawn recliners to use!! Upper levels just have chairs.
But, upper levels are nice as well. Birds eye ocean view!
Bottom line: You will like your stay at BA. People who stay at SCC will like that too!

Order one of those maps Don is always pimping! They have all the best places listed! I bought one after six trips to the Island and I wish I'd bought it a long time ago!
Every different room I've had there was nice - just a different animal in the floor. Eve said she wanted to redo the floors and I warned her to not lose the animals.
The Can-Do Cozumel map is indeed informative. I don't agree on all of their notes, and they got the airport van price list wrong this year, for which they are pretty embarrassed, but they're the best map available. Forget Google maps; they show a bridge from Coz to PDC. That and Calamity Mary's restaurant thread will work well. Except, with the cab fares to and from town (cowboys don't walk that far anyway ) you may find it more appealing to eat at the hotel. Great dinners - $14.
Great news for vacation divers who cannot talk themselves into buying a personal CO tank tester!
>> Rent one for a week or longer here <<
Now let's see more CO readings in your trip reports, ok...??
It was a pleasure meeting and diving with you Mary. I think for experienced divers Jorge would be the best DM. He was GREAT on our night dive. For I and my wife having less than 20 dives we thoroughly enjoyed Julio from Argentina. Very complete briefing and very attentive to the divers in the water. I'll post a complete report later, but we'll certainly be back to Blue Angel.

Glad you had such a great night dive! It was great meeting the two of you as well.
Scubaboard is a wonderful resource of people, I can't wait to get back out there and meet more! Take care over there in neighboring state of Utah.
