Yes, that was Mexican President Calderon and his family diving Cozumel last week. All the heavy security made it more than obvious. On Wednesday they dove Santa Rosa Wall, then Columbia Shallows and on Thursday it was mainly for his children so they stayed shallow at Chankanhab, then Paradise. Memo Mendoza my partner in Aldora was their dive guide-- but closely followed by a security crew of Mexican Navy divers. The Dive boat was our 40 ft fast boat Falicity which was closely guarded by Mexican PT type boats.

Hard to be invisible with a security detail like his.

Pictures?

Nice, being the prez's dive op pretty much tells you where Aldora sits in the pecking order on Cozumel. Stick a feather in your cap!

Where's my PT boat escort? I didn't get one last time I dove!
Big Shout-out to Memo. You da Man!
It's nice that the head of state appreciates diving and the underwater world of Coz. It show a touch of reality and a connection to the natural world that is easily lost behind layers of pomp, protocol and security. Great job, Dave.

But will he post a trip report?

That's a grande feather in your cap!

El president is a diver? Cool.
Here's hoping he becomes more environmentally protective of la isla!

Congrats!!
