Great news for vacation divers who cannot talk themselves into buying a personal CO tank tester!

Now let's see more CO readings in your trip reports, ok...??

The fact is that there is NO way to get to the northern lighthouse by land, and if by sea you better have a damned sturdy boat with Epirb and more.

I remember your tale about that in this thread: Hiking Trails in Cozumel I guess they never repair the road since the lighthouse is no longer used, so it must be in dreadful shape after years.
I'd want a sturdy boat for sure, with twin engines, and a backup plan - but wonder if anyone could hear a radio from the other side? I have a portable marine radio that can transmit on 1 watt or for a shorter time on 5 watts but doubt it'd reach.
Risks are risks tho, and sometimes we take a few. I bicycled the trails at Coba, and if I'd had an event or accident there, I'd sure it'd be a long time before I'd be in a hospital. The same for some of the state park hikes I take with my kids. I probably should get a PLB at least, even tho rescue could still take a lot of time.
