We want to dive 4 tanks in one day in Coz? Best dive op for this?
We are staying in Cancun (we have too many non-divers in our group). Two of us (PADI certified Rescue, EAN and current Divemaster candidates) want to catch the 7:00 a.m. ferry from Playa over to Coz and then dive four tanks in one day - two in a.m. and two in the afternoon, and then catch the ferry back to Playa. We want to do this on Thursday, May 12, 2005.
Can anyone recommend a good dive op for this in Coz that would be willing to accomodate this schedule? We will travel ourselves and do not want to do a Coz trip with a Cancun dive op.
We obviously don't want a cattle boat operation either. Thanks so much. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Try Raul@bottomtimedivers.net He is owner operator with small fast boat and can wait for you to arrive. Some of the other dive shops will have departure times set and they will not change them. Raul, since its his boat and only 6 divers max can probably meet your needs. www.bottomtimedivers.net

We've done 4 dives (2 tank AM and 2 tank PM) with Deep Blue . They dropped us off at a beach club so we could grab a quick lunch, then picked us back up for the afternoon dives. They use small fast boats. They used to pick up at the Aldora pier, which is not too far from the ferry pier. Not sure what the situation right now is with Melgar torn up. They are very responsive to emails.

Melgar is pretty much done from what I understand... we were there the week before Carnaval and they were working feverishly (well, ok, not quite feverishly... we are talking about Mexico here) to get it done for the parade.
Apparently they succeeded except for a few minor things - like hooking up the electric for the street lights! :11:
I'm sure someone else who was there later than us can chime in...
I live for more bottom time..............if only I had gills

The last time I was there, there was no 7:00 am ferry. You may need to get up earlier for the 6:00 am. ferry.
My advice is to go for the 6 AM ferry, regardless. If you are depending on a schedule to fall together with pinpoint accuracy, especially in Mexico, it is better to be early. Take the early ferry and grab breakfast on the island.
