Playa Azul - Liquid Blue or Blue XT???

    Hey folks

Planning our first dive trip to Coz for Nov (9 nights or so)(I've been before nondiving).

We want a pool, sitting area and beach swimming at the resort. Prefer low-key. Other half doesn't drink so out of town is best, no interest in AI.

I am focused on Playa Azul condo as best deal with air that I can find through Travelocity or Expedia. Other ideas??

Looking at Liquid Blue or BLue XT for dive op.

    Opinions please....

    Thanks

    Susan

    Go with Blue XT Sea!
Lodging? I liked Fiesta Americana, but many others like Caribe Blue. Email Christy at Blue XT Sea...she may have some ideas for you!

Susan, here is a link to a trip report I wrote for a Cozumel trip earlier this year. Perhaps it will help.

My husband booked with Blue XT for our trip a few weeks back. They were terrific, very personal service, knowledgable staff, ect. It was a fantastic trip.

The folks at Liquid Blue are great...

and they would definitely be my second choice - however, I've been diving with Blue XT Sea since owner/operator Christi certified me a few years back, and you just can't go wrong with them. Every dive has been a great learning experience for me - they are knowledgable, safety-concious, and loads of fun. Christi runs a top-knotch operation and knows how to keep her customers happy.
I love Playa Azul Hotel - clean, comfortable, beautiful beach, and a great friendly staff, but it is on the north end of the island and would mean a trip south for diving - taxi's into town are about $4. I agree about Fiesta Americana if you need a southern hotel - larger and more resorty than Playa Azul, but it is convenient to the dive sites.
    Have a wonderful time!
