Anyone know the conditions of Fort Pickens right now? Roads flooded, Water conditions? Anyone ever tent camped there?

Yes I have camped there and most likely will not again. Our site was tough to find decent ground that would take a tent stake. It rained and we were lying in a 1/2 inch river of flowing rain deposite. No power. Looked like there was since the power transformer was right outside of the bathrooms but nope no outlets. Other sites there have more of the comfort items. Make sure you ask what is at the site and the cost. The roads do flood with a rain.

When the roads flood can you still get down them in a small car or is it bad?
If it's flooded they usually close them.
