How Deep is "DEEP" for us "Deep Dixie Divers"?

"The south will dive again." Diving south of the Mason Dixon Line including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee... but lets leave Florida out of it!"

. . . how many are aware that the Mason Dixon Line is the southern border of Pennsylvania?

    Is Maryland really "Deep Dixie"????

If your state sided with the "Cause" of the Confederacy during the "War for Southern Independance". You my friend are a "DEEP Dixie Diver".

    ...err or something like that.

Since you're leaving out Floriday.....I'd say that living in Savannah, that I'm pretty "deep".......unfortunately, I'm from Cleveland, Ohio.....so that ruins that idea.

Deep Dixie is an attitude - not a physical location.

Runs along PA, then turns south to cut off Delaware. Maryland stayed in the Union, due to a large number of Federal Troops that prevented their departure.

If you go back to the "War of Northern Agression", Maryland fought on the "other side", which by default, would rule them out of being in "the South".

From a humorous point of view, if you watched the old Dukes of Hazzard re-runs, you'd think the "Mason Dixon Line" was right outside Hazzard. heh.

I think you can aslo include the Missouri bootheel and southern IL. The people aren't much different than in N. Arkansas.

You're just a damn Yankee, and moving to N. Florida doesn't matter.
