Wings and BP Recommendation for Cold water use plz

    Tobin -

I just started Drysuit diving and I may need a wing with more lift than my tiny Oxycheq. At 5.10 height and a body weight of 200 lbs, I use 20 lbs of weight in fresh water with the most minimal undergarments. In the future I plan on doing ice dives which will use thicker undergarments and more weight. Can you recommend a wing for me that would give me sifficient buoyancy with all that cold water gear? Can you also tell me what is the heaviest steel plate you have? I want to take some weight off of my belt.

    Thanks -

Looking forward to hearing from you -

    Regards -

    Sinbad,

At 5'10" tall you need a medium back plate. If you add our bolt on weights to a medium Stainless Plate and harness it will be about -14 lbs.

Without knowing the buoyancy of the "thicker" undies you plan on using I cannot, with any precision, recommend a specific wing.

You are correct that more buoyant suits will require higher capacity wings, we typically sell Torus 35's for people diving in Northern Location. This is most likely sufficient for you.
