Thumbs up new Torus 17 setup feedback

Been meaning to post something on how much I love my DSS Torus 17 setup but things keep getting in the way, so since I'm in the middle of packing again I figured I should finally get around to writing something up!

I picked up a Torus 17 with SS backplate earlier this summer and have gone a several trips with the setup. I transitioned over from a SeaQuest Balance and the DSS rig is a night and day difference. The rig is so streamlined and efficient and cuts such a low profile in the water. I managed to drop all the weight I used to need and dive just the SS backplate with my full 3mm suit which has really helped my trim by placing all the weight right over my lungs. This was my first BP/W setup and the whole package from DSS was very integrated and the various videos and articles on the webpage simplified putting it all together. The Torus 17 wing travels so easily, I can just roll it up and stick it in my backpack.

I normally dive around alot of people that use BP/W already but I recently just finished a week long liveaboard and they couldn't get over how low profile and small the setup was. Every day I would get some interested people that would come over to look over the rig and ask questions. The real fun was at the end of the week when I was packing up my gear.
I got alot of envious looks when my harness was fully dried out and in my luggage before anybody else and it was awesome just rolling up my Torus 17 wing and shoving it in my my backpack. I pointed alot of people to the DSS website after that hah so thanks for putting out such a great integrated package and can't wait to expand my diving and add more wings to my gear locker.

Did you ever reply to Jody about her camera?

LOL, she needed help "before" her trip, not now!

BTW, I'm not at expert on the subject by any stretch of the word and I know you're recently married, but if you keep your wife happy first you will have time for everything else.

Give me at least a week notice when you're coming down and I'll make it happen.
