I'll repeat - I am a full supporter of ScubaBoard and very willing to put money towards its defense in this matter. I also don't have issue with having a general fund set up to protect against this and any future actions. But I'd like some information detailing the disposition of donated funds.

Great questions! This is really our second suit, but since it did not affect the Board in general, I just took care of it. The bills for this one are going to be a LOT higher and since it WILL cause all of us to rethink how we post, I thought it wise to give it to you.
A special "Legal Defense Fund" banking account has been set up and is now functional. These monies will not be co-mingled with our general operating expense account, but will be set aside and earmarked for use on legal expenses only.

Pete, you and I have disagreed over the years, maybe not as much as other people... yet, when all is said and done, you have provided a huge resource to thousands of divers and wanna be divers. A niche has been filled. Thank you for your service to the dive community.

I don't really think we have ever disagreed that much. We still use YOUR artwork for our logo, albeit we added a .com this year. I will always be grateful for that!

We are all hurting in this economy. I personally took a huge pay cut January 1. So, I can't give as much as I'd like. My message is for those in the same boat who may feel embarassed about "only" donating $5 or $10, or even just $2.50.
DON'T BE EMBARASSED! ALL donations pile up and help. So, I'm making my small, but heartfelt donation NOW. Please, don't be embarassed about a small donation, people. Everyone can find $5. Even a homeless person can scrape together $5 for something they really want.
