Do any of the DIR folks use the Alpha 7 or Delta 3 with the DX4 or similar first stage? From what I can see, both second stages are quite simple in their design, have a reputation for robustness, and can be dismantled underwater.

I'm interested in understanding what are the potential issues with using this in a technical environment (water temp >50F).

Thanks!

I've owned 3 oceanic regs. I've never seen any problems with the Delta 3 or the Alpha. I don't use them currently but I've seen pics on the WKPP site showing them on stages so they can't be all that bad. As long as you don't go with the zeta or omega you should be fine.

Why do you suggest to stay away from Omega? I was under the impression that was one of their better regulators.
