Thanks Wendy, the article brought to my attention the issue of trapped gases in blunt force injuries. Something to look into and keep in mind, as it is easy to get knocked around on a rocking boat.

right!!! I was also very riveted by their through preparation of deco stops and what gas was to be used when and for how long...something I need to be better versed on and want to be able to understand fully. I know our dives in May wont be that deep for that long, but hopefully in my future there will be wrecks that i can add to my roster becasue i know how to be prepared....long way to go...
interesting that this man was willing to sit out for three weeks in the slight event that he might have had a bad deco....

Great find Wendy, thanks! It is always cool to read about deco dives, but this one, with the injury, was interesting. I definitely learned a good lesson from it, if you hurt yourself on the boat, call the dive. It's nice to learn from someone else's mistake once in a while instead of learning from my own... lol...
