Just dropping in to formally introduce myself. I joined DNY when it was formed last year but dropped out of the "scene" given a hectic schedule.
Anyway, my name is Luke and I live in Manhattan. My last dives were in December (blah) out in San Diego. I have my AOW card and looking into Rescue at the end of July.
My other hobbies include cycling and horology. The latter was actually brought on by SCUBA. I started collecting dive watches, which then evolved into a very expensive habit, I mean hobby.
Lastly, I just had a baby (May 18), well my wife did. This has curtailed the annual diving trip this year but I wouldn't have it any other way.
P.S. I'm also on Oceanblue Divers in Meetup but haven't participated much there as well.
Good morning, Luke. Great to see you posting in here.
Congratulations on the new addition to the family, babies are a miracle!!
I did some dives in San Diego's wreck alley in May and enjoyed myself. Rescue is a very rewarding certification, it also makes you such an aware diver.
The OceanBlue Divers are a good group, I know a few of them from my Intro to Tech class and we were in Key West last month diving the Vanbenberg. Again, great to see you posting in here, keep doing it even though you may not get a chance to come out and dive with us.

Thanks CJM and ScubaSam. Thanks also for organizing this place.
BTW, SS, seems like any riff-raff can join, even a Red Sox fan!
Yes, we found out after he joined ...that's what's so great about DNYers, we may not agree on baseball teams but can put our differences aside to dive together safely.
BTW, thanks for thinking this place is organized but I do believe the inmates are running the asylum.
