I have received a few pm's with questions on the Dutch Springs threads I regularly post and thought it was worth a sticky
I post the threads whether or not I am personally attending, sort of as a public service to encourage the following:
1. Match available divers
2. Facilitate buddy match ups prior to arrival
I am mentioning this because in the past, once people hear others will be there, they simply show up and see who is available. This is an ok approach, but it is likely others have already buddied up with some sort of dive plan for the day. DNY always welcomes new people and my best advice is to chat online about what type of diving you are interested in for the day. For instance, I am a new diver and looking to dive above 60 ft, I have never been to Dutch and would like a tour guide, I am trying out new doubles and looking for an experienced doubles diver to mentor me, same thing for drysuit, I am looking for someone who wants to practice xyz . . .
if you are willing to do any of those things, post that also, you might encourage a newb come out
Other suggestions welcome . . . please pm me and I will add them to the sticky
Intent of post was to be informational, so closing before any more clowns throw a frisbee for me to chase here

I would like to offer wrybosome as a diving buddy. There are fees associated with having his company. He is a very attentive buddy and a talented diver. The options and prices are as follows:
1) Single tank dives $ 20.00
2) Double tank dives $ 40.00
3) Single tank dives with fringe benefits $ 50.00
4) Double tank dives with fringe benefits $ 70.00
5) Remedial buoyancy and trim tutelage for DIR graduates an extra $4.99 (This week only).
There is a $20.00 discount if you are a better diver than he is. I am always happy when someone can teach my dive partner something.
If I like you I would be willing to negotiate the price down a bit if you are on a tight budget. Of course if I could assist with the fringe benefits the price may come down even more.
Be sure to discuss your dive plan options with me before diving.
Great thread, Donna, because it's happened to me *repeatedly* when I"m at Dutch.
People who I did not know were coming to Dutch show up and want to buddy up with me without informing me prior to arriving at Dutch of their intention.
It's fine if I have no prior commitment but more times than not, if I'm at Dutch, it's for some pre-arranged training dives, ie: practicing reel with my cave buddy, helping a member out with their new drysuit, helping a member work on their back-kick.
I like Donna's idea of stating what type of dives you're coming to Dutch Springs to do if you do not already have a buddy and want to buddy with someone.
I'm always happy to dive with new buddies if I'm going. I usually have no specific plans for Dutch so am happy to go an do whatever. I don't mind incorporating a third diver with Shewhomustnotbenamed and I most of the time.
Ignore prettyfish's fee schedule, the meds clearly need to be upped.
