1) The battery tray is only held by 3 screws. Located in the bottom of the compartment and plugged with rubber plugs. 2 are aligned with the red-treaded holes, and one is aligned and close to the moisture contacts. Other 2 holes have no function.
2) Mid section: Remove the battery tray and pc board assembly. In the bottom of the mid section, there is a black plastic segment which holds the pc board contacts. It has another 2 short screws, right by the electrical contacts. There is no need to loosen up these screws.
The mid section is screwed to the motor compartment by 6 long screws, which are accessible through the black plastic segment.
