We are still targeting this Friday for the release of the beta version of the My bluebuddy App for the Samsung S3, but, since several backers that have received their bluebuddy / Tech Buddy (and that are Android users) have been asking for a way to check if their bluebuddy / Tech Buddy is alive, we decided to publish a simple "bluebuddy Scanner" App.

You can get the bluebuddy Scanner App on Google Play

The "bluebuddy Scanner" App is a test App designed specifically for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Use this App to check if your DiveNav bluebuddy / Tech Buddy wireless data logger is alive.

Follow this simple steps:

1) First make sure that you have activated bluetooth in your S3

2) Launch the bluebuddy Scanner App

3) Activate your bluebuddy / Tech Buddy by connecting the 2 water sensor pins with a wet finger
4) Tap the refresh icon (lens magnifier symbol) to start a scan.

Please note that the bluebuddy / Tech Buddy device will go back to sleep after 1 minute (unless you keep the water sensor pins connected).
