I am in my mid-forties, and am having trouble reading small print ( sound familiar, anyone?) I've worn glasses since I was 10, and have used prescription lenses in my mask. Recently, my optometrist suggested that I try diving without any corrective lenses. Luckily, I still had the blanks that came with the mask. I popped them in, and voila, I can see things close up much better than I could with the prescription lenses! The lenses were only about -1.5, so this worked for me. Visibility isn't usually much more than 50 feet anyway, so distance isn't a huge issue.
