hi

i try to buy latches from Nielsen Hardware
HC83314SS
HS83314SS

since i don't have any answer from them, i would like to buy latches from another store.

Any suggestion (usa/canada)?

interesting but it's more expansive then nielsen...

what strikes fit with your latches?

what screw have you took at mcmaster?

It's all there in the specs; the latches are complete (two pieces), and I just bend the up/outward part of the latch down so it's against the canister material.

Screws are #6, per spec. The type of screw depends on the material you're putting it into... I just use a 300-series stainless steel screw appropriate to the substrate material and thickness thereof. Generally, I want as much of a bite as possible; basic machine screws and tapped holes in Delrin work well...basic 6-32 is okay. PVC gets more of a woodworking screw to try to get a grip as it threads poorly. Something close in metric would be fine, too. It's just fastening a thru-hole piece.
