St. Francois lol....

In valleyfield. There is a big damn surrounded by water. the water is clear.

Many people spearfish there. I've already speared bass, walleye, carp, buffalo fish.

I've seen spearfisherman come out with Atlantic salmon, trout, lake salmon. I"ve also seen sturgeon and muskie in the deeper water (but you cannot spear them)

is spearfishing salmon legal? I seriously doubt that. As for bass, they're so territorial It's not a challenge. I wouldn't have fun spearfishing any of the bass family.

Walleyes must be a bit more interesting.

I'm not against spearfishing at all but for me, there must be some kind of challenge like in bowhunting or flyfishing. Dang I'd love to live closer to the sea

No you are not allowed to spear salmon, but some people don;t follow the rules.

As for the bass, they are territorial but they are very fast and spooked by you. It's harder to spear one than you think !

From what I remember.... it's illegal in Ontario, and in Quebec you need the same fishing license, and you have the same quotas.
