D1 First Stage for O2 Deco Bottle?

I was thinking about buying a HOG D1 first stage for my AL40 deco bottle that I primarily use for pure O2.

According to the website description and it says that the D1 is compatible with:
(100% Oxygen to 2400psi, 80% Oxygen to 3400 psi out of box when new)

Any problems using with 100% Oxygen at 3000psi out of the box or would that require additional o2 cleaning?

I realize it's all probably fine and "o2 clean" itself can be very subjective but was just curious what seems to be the official stance?

EDIT: NM. I just searched and saw Chris's official answer. He doesn't recommend using 100% O2 over 2400psi but it seems like it's a risk that some people do take.

the risk is exponential on oxygen at high pressures. The reaity is that scuba tank valves and first stages are NOT designed for use with oxygen. If you look at the European market you will see they have adopted different fittings for scuba regs and tanks with high oxygen, over here we just clean them well and use viton orings and a oxygen compatible lube. Obviously we get away with it most of the time but not all of the time. Just something I recommend that people contemplating using boosted oxygen consider.

Take a look at Apeks' DS4/XTX50, 'green', O2 compatible reg......

I could use green colors on my reg as well as the oxygen cleaning procedures and materials we already use and make the same claims, the fact remains that scuba regulators are not a oxygen regulator design.

the BP1 is actually a old design and discontinued. However, not really to your question. The size of the piston will reduce compression heating but it also has a 90 degree on the hp side the gas has to bend.

Thanks for the info. I went back and looked at the Dive Right in Scuba site and realized that the video they were posting of the "new" BP1 was over two years old. I have seen a number of recommendations for piston regs for O2 use, which is why it caught my attention.

normally the piston recommendation for a Oxygen reg. is for a unbalanced or standard piston.

Quite frankly I have made this a issue by trying to be realistic instead of just saying "oxygen clean" and leaving it at that like others do....
