I just got a set of fins sent to me (from a company I will not name) by mistake. I had ordered something, not fins, of a similar price. The fins are EDGE Maui fins. Everything I can find says they are snorkeling fins. I am trying to decide if I want to keep them, but I dont need fins for snorkeling. How are these fins different from SCUBA fins? I can't find any reviews or even a mention on the EDGE website.

They are new this season. Snorkeling fins in general tend to be smaller, a little stiffer, and not have the thrust to move scuba gear through the water as effectively as fins designed for scuba. They are also usually not as robust as scuba fins so may not take as much "punishment" as a pair of fins made for diving. They are designed for use on the surface with no bulky gear on and skin dives to limited depths.
