    Here is reality...

Men's suits do not fit women properly. They gape in the neck, they are tight it the hips and legs. Manufacturers, for the most part, think women beyond a size 12-14 don't dive. I feel the OPs pain because I am amost the same build as her and I have yet to find a full 3mm wetsuit to fit me properly. My drysuits are all custom.

Atlan is one company I have found that will make wetsuits up to size 24, and their prices are very good. They also can do 2 piece 7mm custom suits for less than some manufacturers sell their regular suit for. However, there is nothing fancy about their suits...they are just neoprene and seams. Workmanship is good, however, unless you are a perfect size, you may have gaping problems. I have good luck with their shorties but I abuse the hell out of them. They typically last about 100 dives in the pool and 2-3 trips to warm water.

My wife and I both got custom suits from Carolyn at Liquid Fit and they are GREAT!! Carolyn really supports her customers and she really will go above and beyond to make sure you get exactly what you need. My wife was a "plus size" when she started diving, and thanks to diving has dropped a few pounds and Carolyn has a policy that she'll do one free re-sizing.

I can't recommend her highly enough.

I am a male but when I got into diving in 2004 I was about your height and weight. WetWear made my custom wet suits and did an excellent job.

I am now over 50 lbs lighter than I was then. I paid WetWear to shrink them to my new size and I am still using them today when I don't dive with my dry suit.

    I ordered the Easy-On model.
I can also attest to Wetwears quality! I love my suit and the people there are very knowledgeable. I would tell anyone to call them and get information about who they are and what they do, before they order a suit. It doesn't hurt to get information....then make a decision about what suit to get.

i have a similar problem in trying to find a 3mm shorty or just a dive skin that will fit my chest. is there any manufacturers anyone knows of that are made for women with a very large chest. all the size charts i can find don't go high enough and obviously a mans won't fit my curves properly either. since i live in fl and only dive here or the caribbean, i really only need a skin for protection but only seem to find unisex sized ones and am not sure if they will stretch enough over my chest without feeling too constricted. i also don't want to have to spend for a custom suit because i assume they're very pricey. any suggestions?
