OK, so I am in the market for a wetsuit. I have been visiting all the local dive shops checking out what they have to offer. I have been considering a standard neoprene Henderson suit, the Henderson Hyperstretch ( I can't swing the gold core), Bare Atric SGS and Artic suits, Xcel Infiniti 7.6.5, and then I came across a couple of suits by Scuba Max. They seem very reasonably priced. The 5mm super stretch suits with semi dry seals was $265 and there is a 7mm standard neoprene suit for like $165. Are these suits of reasonable quality? I am assuming they are as the shop that is carrying them doesn't usually carry junk and the owner is very conscious about carrying quality gear. Anyone have experience or an opinion?
We use Scuba Max wetsuits while doing the commercial seafood harvesting thing, their combination of quality & price makes them hard to beat.
We have several going on their 3rd (or is it 4th) season now & they're holding up well, even with the beating they get.
What size ya take? there's an extra 1-piece w/o hood here. We ordered a 3mm & they sent a 7mm.
