My wife and I both dove our brand new Down130' 6.5mm wetsuits today.
Location: Hyde's Quarry, Carroll County, MD
Weather: Mostly cloudy, air temp 65 degrees
Water Conditions: 49 degrees, still, 10-20' viz down to 30'
(30+ viz reported below 40', 41 degrees)

General impressions:
Build quality - excellent
Comfort - outstanding
Warmth - excellent
Fit - excellent

Gearing up was the easiest I've ever experienced getting into this much rubber.
Wrist/ankle zippers were great, very flexible suit for being so thick, back zipper
easy to self-close/open. Even with mostly overcast 65 deg weather, we were
quite warm by the time we entered the water.

After the initial plunge we warmed up nicely and stayed comfortable throughout
our 20+ mins dives. At only 30' I can't attest to the compression factor, but can
otherwise say they are very good at insulation. For reference, I wore an under
armor cold gear top and my wife wore a full 1mm skin under her suit.

Hope this is helpful to those looking at suits. I am not affiliated with the company
just a fan of the suit. down130.com - Home
