Which exposure suit for Eastern Canada?

I'm moving back to Atlantic Canada this summer. I'd like to dive there, but have no idea what exposure to wear.

Being in Asia, I have absolutely no idea what I need. I went back this past summer and was told to buy everything from a 7mm+ wetsuit to a drysuit with insulated inner garment. Could anyone from that area please help me with suit selection, pro and cons, etc. I have only dived in tropical waters, so I don't have a clue!

Planning to dive mainly in Cape Breton and Mainland Nova Scotia.

Which would be the best type of exposure suit to get?

I favour mobility and have above average resistance to cold.

Any and all help would be appreciated!

    Go Dry.

You could go wet if you don't plan on doing any advanced or repetitive dives, of course, but you're going to be far more comfortable in a drysuit. Let's keep this in mind Orlock - it's the North Atlantic.

    Two Words

    Dry suit.

    Or is it one word?

Regardless, you will be much happier if you dive dry.

    Bonne chance,

    Boogie711 and Namor ,
thanks for the advice. Now that's decided, I think I'm gong shopping online for a drysuit. I've looked at the DUI FLX 50/50 and the Oceanic Aerdura.

Thanks again for your invaluable help! Nothing like hearing it from someone who's dived in cold water, eh?
