I just acquired a BARE 7/6 Velocity "semi-dry" wetsuit. It's my first front zip wetsuit and I have a couple of concerns, now that I figured out how to get in and out of it. :)
Anyway, to my question...because of the positioning of the zipper and the increased strain on it, I was wondering...what is the best lubricant to use on the zipper?
I have heard some say usda food grade silicone and others recommend bee wax. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Tony

Thank you for contacting us! I love my 8/7 and had the same question before. The suit comes with a small tube of TiZip lubricant and this is the lube that should be used in its entirety. I know the recommendation with drysuits and the 8/7 is to lube before every dive for the first 30. Then after that can be done every few dives...This will keep the integrity of the zipper.

Thanks Tony!

I've always used cold water surf wax on my wet/drysuit zippers. Works for me.

I wasn't provided with any TiZip...that's why I was wondering. I will google it and see where I can purchase some. Thank you for the help.
