I've just acquired a used fusion as my first drysuit it's in super condition but I have a few questions the suit has the oval wrist rings and had latex seals on it but the previous owner sent me two silicone back ups so I thought I would change them out and use the latex as back ups my question is on the YouTube videos on removing them is a snap on my suit it was an act of Congress I couldn't manage to do it by hand had to use a straight screw driver to pry them apart.
On the videos the suit side ring looks flexible mine is pretty stiff I couldn't get my finger in the notches to pry them apart does this get easier over time these are brand new only one dive since they was put on got any tips or tricks
Thanks in advance

The video won't load on my phone I'll get it on the computer when I get home
