Hey, all
I've been diving a Viking 1000 for many years now, but it's JUUUST a bit too small. Has been for a long time. I was right on the cusp of two sizes, and went with the smaller one. So, it's about 2 inches too short, and restricts my movement enough that I have to Adjust my equipment for it.
Sitting in the garage, unused for a while, I have an NRS Triton drysuit for boating and other water sports.
It fits well, the seals and zipper are still fine, and I would have full freedom of motion. It's a lot thinner than the Viking, but will fit a lot more insulation underneath it.
So, aside from the cost of retrofitting a couple of valves on it, are there any reasons NOT to do it? The cost of a couple valves (about $125) is worth the cost of a new/used suit ($1000+).
