Can one just purchase a BC low pressure hose for use with a dry suit? Or, is it worth paying a premium to go with a "special" dry suit inflation hose? In particular, diveriteexpress states that one should only use a dry suit inflator hose with a dry suit. They state that the one they sell (apparently a Si-Tech inflator hose) has a flow restricting orifice to prevent some problems.

Thanks in advance.

Basically it's no problem as far as it's long enough and the coupling fits the inflator. However, BC hose is usually a bit too short for drysuit.

My BC inflator hose is an identical connector as my BC.

This can come in handy for obvious reasons.

The hose that comes with DUI drysuits has an oversized lock ring that is very easy to grab with heavy gloves on vs. a standard BC connection. The Dui hose has no restrictor or anything and fits a standard BC fitting as well. either design will work.
Heres a pic of a DUI hose and a standard BC hose.

Assuming both fit, and they do not always, the dedicated drysuit hose will be easier to disconnect in the event of a stuck inflator valve.

Thanks for posting the pics, nyresq. They help in the discussion. :thumb:
