My DUI CF200x is in need of repair. The knee pads that were originally installed are wearing out, and I wanted to coat them with Kevlar material as was suggested in the gear review at the njscuba.net regarding the cheap gloves that are not made of Kevlar.

That stuff sounds like it would be rigid when dry. I thought Kevlar was generally used in the form of a woven fabric, like fiberglass matting.
You're right. I phoned up the company to confirm that. It will be very rigit. I guess my only option is to replace the knee pads.
