    Kevlar coating

    Hi all,

My DUI CF200x is in need of repair. The knee pads that were originally installed are wearing out, and I wanted to coat them with Kevlar material as was suggested in the gear review at the njscuba.net regarding the cheap gloves that are not made of Kevlar.

Where do I get this Kevlar resin, any suggestions?
    So far I found:
    Coat-It Epoxy Sealer with Kevlar®
    http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=30

Would it be the right choice? Please reply!

    Thank you in advance,

    -radioduran.

That stuff sounds like it would be rigid when dry. I thought Kevlar was generally used in the form of a woven fabric, like fiberglass matting.

You're right. I phoned up the company to confirm that. It will be very rigit. I guess my only option is to replace the knee pads.
    Thanks for the reply!
