    Undergarments for Neoprene/Shell Suit

Hi all, i just bought my frist drysuit, it's a used Whites Polar Flex

    http://www.whitesdiving.com/index.php?id=41&cid=71

Its neoprene on the bottom, and shellsuit on top, I've been reading a lot of the threads here, but i'm trying to decide on underwear, i tried it on and i don't think there is much room in the legs for a bulky undergarmet there, so i was thinking of a light undergarmet with a warm vest or something over it...any ideas?

I recommend the 300G one-piece. Very warm ... not very bulky. Works great in my cordura shell suit in 48-degree water.

Not everyone who reads SB is looking to learn how best to use their new snorkel. Some are here just hoping to get the chance to tell someone else exactly what they can do with their new snorkel. While others are trying to sell their old snorkel. (gypsyjim)

saw that but was worried about it being too warm under the bottom half and not warm enough on top, but then i guess it might even out, i dive in monterey, roughly 50F lately...

The neoprene will compress at depth and its insulative quality will be lost. My suggestion is wear a thin poly "jumpsuit" then layer a vest over your chest. If the water is colder, or you still feel cold, try adding a midweight polypro top between the jumpsuit and vest. Or, you can (custom) order a 'jumpsuit' that has a thin layer on the bottom and a thicker layer on the top. Then add the vest if necessary.

actually i should say it's compressed neoprene on bottom, so the compression at depth should be minimal i hope...thanks for the suggestions so far

If it's compressed neoprene, you'll have little or no insulation in the first place. Compressed neoprene is similar to tri-lam that way.

so maybe the 300g bob mentioned is the way to go? i thought the compressed neoprene would have more insulation than trilam though
