So, I just got set up with my new AGA full-face mask, and noticed during my first pool dive that my BCD inflator (on the left) runs into my AGA 2nd stage hose (which also runs to the left, due to the design of the facepiece).

So, when I need to adjust the air in my BCD, I have to make sure I've moved the BCD hose from beneath the AGA's hose and then when I'm done, I have to tuck it back under. Not a big deal, but is taking a bit of getting used to.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Are there any good workarounds? As silly as this sounds, are there BCD wings with the inflator hose on the right? I'm left-handed anyway, so that wouldn't be a problem for me. I currently have a Zeagle Brigade (which is a Ranger with an Escape wing)

I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm curious. Why do you need a full face mask?

Ultimately, the plan is to purchase a microphone module and transciever unit. I want to be able to do underwater wireless communications and to provide narration for videos.

Check here for more info. if you're interested.

I understand the official DIR opinion on them already.

One thing you could try is to route your aga hose under your arm which will prevent it from tangeling with the inflator hose. You may need a longer aga hose to make this work comfortbly. Check out the picture on this page to see what I mean.

Hope this helps.

Andy,

Thanks for the idea... I'll give that a try on the next dive. I think you're right about the longer AGA hose... the current one is just long enough to go over the shoulder.
