Can anyone comment on “fin-care” for Apollo Bio-Fins. I am about to get my new Apollo Bio Fin and have a question regarding the best way to care for them.

I have used silicon grease on my scubapro jetfins to help keep the rubber flexible and from cracking but want to make sure that its OK for Apollo’s.

Any feedback is appreciated

Thanks

I don't know what the fins are made of, but I was always told don't use oils or grease of the same base compounds as the materials you're putting them on.

In other words, don't use silicon on a scuba mask for example. I know you can violate that rule and get away with it for a while.

The Bio-fins are 100% natural rubber. I'm not sure that they require much in the way of maintenance, but I suspect the manual might have something on it, if there is something you should do.
