Can anyone give me a comparison of Cressi-sub's fins:

- Master Frog
- Space Frog One
- Pro Light

Apart from the price, what are their difference, in terms of

- efficiency/speed
- stiffness
- weight on land and underwater?

Thank you for advice.

i use master frogs

master frogs: longest and stiffest. need strong ankles to get the benefit of flicking and snapping. not good for big leisurely finning. great against a current if you have the legs and ankles for it. optimal technique is to fin within the "donut" stroking on a small arc. tendency to shank and slice if your ankles are weak.

space frogs: shorter, semi stiff more forgiving.

prolight: same length as space frogs, least stiff

frog: the daddy of them all, divernet sez overall the best value.

how's the diving in lantau?

Thanks for your very comprehensive comments.

Normally, no one dives in Lantau cuz' the water on the western side of Hong Kong is not good due to the Pearl River water. The dive sites in Hong Kong are mainly located on the Eastern side such as Sai Kung.

Please take a look at my underwater photo album, all photos are taken in Hong Kong water:

Excellent shots! Who would've known these were taken in SAR waters.

Speaking of Cressi I went to a dive shop in TST which sold the full range of Cressi fins (along inner side of the Hyatt parallel to Nathan) and Poseidons. It was very well stocked. But the prices!!!! Sky high. I never realized that kit here in the Philippines would be cheaper than HKG. But then again that was TST. Where do you get your gear?

The shop you mentioned is called Oceansky Diving, where I learnt my OW and for most of the photos I taken, I was travelling on Oceansky's day trip.

I bought most of my equipment in there too.

Are you living in Hong Kong? Do you frequently dive in Hong Kong?
